Mahler "Titan" Recording session

Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts

001s.jpg This is the famous "Revenaugh Lid" by Mr.Daniel Revenaugh. This is the lid used under the piano for this session to effect the intensity and projection of the sound. There is much debate about the device, even scandal, and wide use is still under argument. But as far as I am concerned, it is very much helpful depending on the repertoire. Regarding some others, Ms. Argerich loves it!
