Michel Block, who passed away on March 4th, 2003, was a great friend and mentor to Chitose Okashiro and his unique depth and poetry of music making continues to be an inspiration.  Included here is his ‘billet doux,’ written as a birthday present for Okashiro in 1999.  This album is dedicated to the great artist’s memory.
